  1. Day 1: Sanjay Gandhi National Park
1 hour 5 minutes (22.2 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

Start your day early at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the largest park in the city. Take a safari to spot the park's incredible wildlife including tigers, leopards, and deer. Trek to the Kanheri Caves, a group of ancient rock-cut caves and monasteries that date back to the 1st century BCE. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature. In the afternoon, hike to the highest point of the park to reach the 2,400 ft tall hill, Chota Mahuli. Enjoy breathtaking views of the park and the city skyline. In the evening, watch a dazzling light and sound show at the park's amphitheatre.

  2. Day 2: Scuba Diving in Malvan
9 hours (534 km) from Sanjay Gandhi National Park

Get ready for an exciting day of scuba diving in Malvan, a beautiful coastal town in Maharashtra. Take an early morning drive to Malvan, which takes around 9 hours. Once there, you can explore the stunning underwater world of the Arabian Sea. Discover colourful coral reefs, exotic fish species and shipwrecks. Take a break for a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to explore the depths of the sea. Head back to Mumbai in the evening, tired but exhilarated.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on an island off the coast of Mumbai. You can also try paragliding or go on a hot air balloon ride for a bird's eye view of the city. For a side trip, visit the nearby hill stations of Matheran or Lonavala.

To maximize your fun, try the local street food such as vada pav, pav bhaji, and bhel puri. Mumbai is also famous for its nightlife, so you can explore some of the city's best bars and clubs for a night out. Make sure to plan your itinerary according to the weather conditions as well.
