Srinagar 6-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Dal Lake
    15 minutes (4.2 km) from Srinagar International Airport

    Start your trip by exploring the beautiful Dal Lake. Take a shikara boat ride to see the floating gardens, houseboats and enjoy scenic views. In the afternoon, visit the famous Shalimar Bagh Mughal Garden for a peaceful walk among the beautiful flowers and fountains. In the evening, enjoy a cup of Kashmiri Kahwa tea in a local café near the lake.

  2. Day 2: Nishat Bagh and Pari Mahal
    20 minutes (7.4 km) from Dal Lake

    Visit the Nishat Bagh Mughal Garden, famous for its terraced garden and captivating views of the Dal Lake. In the afternoon, visit the Pari Mahal, a seven-terraced garden and a former Buddhist monastery turned into a school of astrology. Enjoy the panoramic views of the city from here. In the evening, visit the famous Hazratbal Mosque and witness the evening aarti.

  3. Day 3: Shankaracharya Temple and Mughal Gardens
    30 minutes (10.5 km) from Nishat Bagh

  4. Day 4: Dachigam National Park

  5. Day 5: Sonamarg
    2 hours (80 km) from Dachigam National Park

    Visit the beautiful Sonamarg, also called "meadow of gold", surrounded by snow-capped mountains and located on the banks of the Sindh River. Enjoy horse riding, trekking or camping here. In the afternoon, visit the Thajiwas Glacier and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the evening, return to Srinagar and enjoy some shopping at Lal Chowk market.

  6. Day 6: Gulmarg
    2 hours 30 minutes (56 km) from Sonamarg

    Visit the famous Gulmarg, known as the "Meadow of Flowers". It is a popular skiing destination in winter and offers scenic views in summer. Enjoy a gondola ride to see the panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Maharaja Palace and enjoy the beautiful architecture. In the evening, return to Srinagar and enjoy a farewell dinner.
