In the afternoon, head to the Rajmachi Point to witness the panoramic view of the Sahyadri mountain range and the valley below. Just before sunset, visit the Ryewood Park, spread over 25 acres, it is a perfect place for a family picnic. The park is home to a variety of trees, flowers, and birds. There is also a children's play area and a small toy train to keep the kids entertained.
Start your second day at the Karla Caves, which date back to 160 BC. These ancient rock-cut caves are renowned for their Buddhist shrines and intricate carvings. Afternoon, visit the Lonavla Lake, a popular spot for boating and picnics. Rent a paddle boat or a rowboat and enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake. In the evening, head to the Tiger Point, which offers a panoramic view of the Western Ghats and the lush greenery.
If you have time, do not miss the Bhaja Caves, a group of 22 rock-cut caves dating back to 200 BC. You can also visit the Kune Falls, which is located at a distance of 4 km from Khandala and is one of the highest waterfalls in Maharashtra. For some adventure, head to the Della Adventure Park, which has a range of adrenaline-pumping activities like zorbing, ATV rides and roller coasters.
