Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Haridwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri
    2 minutes (0.1 miles) from Haridwar Junction Railway Station

    Har Ki Pauri is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Haridwar. It is believed to be the entrance point of the Ganges into the plains. You can start your day by taking a holy dip in the waters of the Ganges. Afterward, you can witness the famous Ganga Aarti in the evening. In the afternoon, you can visit the many food stalls and shops near the ghat and try some mouth-watering street food. There are also boat rides available that take you along the river and provide a beautiful view of the city.

  2. Day 2: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 10 minutes (29 miles) from Har Ki Pauri

    Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Rajaji National Park is a nature lover's paradise. You can enjoy a thrilling safari ride through the park, which is home to several species of animals such as tigers, leopards, elephants, and more. The park also has several trekking routes that you can explore. In the evening, you can return to Haridwar and visit the famous Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi temples, both of which are located on hilltops and offer a spectacular view of the city.

  3. Day 3: Shantikunj Ashram
    18 minutes (6.7 miles) from Rajaji National Park

    Shantikunj Ashram is a spiritual and cultural center that promotes the Indian way of life. You can attend yoga and meditation sessions, explore the beautiful gardens and fountains, and participate in cultural programs. The ashram also has a library that houses a vast collection of books on Indian spirituality and philosophy. In the afternoon, you can visit the Maya Devi temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Haridwar and is dedicated to the Goddess Maya.

If you have an extra day, you can visit the Neer Garh Waterfall, which is located in the Rajaji National Park.
