Waikiki Beach in Honolulu is a beautiful spot with clear blue waters and big waves for surfing. The beach leads to a boardwalk full of restaurants and street vendors. Rent a surfboard, take a swim or just relax in the sun.
Kona Brewing Company offers a great selection of locally brewed beer, tasty pub food, and outdoor seating with views of the ocean. Take a tour of the brewery and sample some of their unique beers.
Maunawili Falls Trail is a great hiking spot with beautiful scenery, waterfalls, and a calming atmosphere. The trail is approximately 2.8 miles long and can take up to two hours to complete, but the views are worth it.
Consider renting a car and planning the route before starting the trip. Expect to pay around $35 for a one-day car rental. Alternatively, opt for Uber or Lyft, cost around $25.
If you have more time, you can drive to the North Shore, visit Haleiwa Town, try the garlic shrimp, and snorkel. If you have less time, eliminate the Kona Brewing Company
The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) is located roughly 6 miles northwest of downtown Honolulu. The airport offers several shuttle services, car rental services and taxi services to get you into the city. It is a well-maintained airport and is just a 20-30 minute drive away from most of Hawaii’s top attractions.
