4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Haridwar
    30 minutes (20.4 km) from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun

    In the morning, start your day with a visit to Har Ki Pauri ghat, the most popular and significant landmark in Haridwar, and witness the Ganga Aarti. Afterward, visit the Chandi Devi Temple, which is located on top of the Neel Parvat and can be accessed by a cable car. For lunch, head to Hoshiyar Puri, a famous eatery known for its delicious North Indian cuisine. In the afternoon, head to Mansa Devi Temple, which is also located on top of a hill and can be accessed by a cable car. Spend the evening at the Rajaji National Park, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna.

  2. Day 2: Rishikesh
    1 hour 10 minutes (43.5 km) from Haridwar

    Start your day with a visit to the Beatles Ashram, which was used by the Beatles to meditate and compose music. Afterward, visit the Triveni Ghat for a dip in the Ganges. For lunch, try out the street food at Ram Jhula. In the afternoon, head to the Neer Garh Waterfall, which is a beautiful waterfall located 7 km from Rishikesh.   3. Day 3: Dehradun

  4. Day 4: Haridwar

    In the morning, head to the Daksh Museum, which showcases the history and mythology of Haridwar. Afterward, visit the Maya Devi Temple, which is one of the Shakti Peethas in India. For lunch, head to Chotiwala Restaurant, which is a famous restaurant known for its North Indian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Bhimgoda Tank, which is a beautiful tank located near Har Ki Pauri. Spend the evening at the Shanti Kunj Ashram, which is a beautiful ashram located on the banks of the Ganges.
