Bali 5-Day Itinerary: Exploring the Beautiful Island in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Ubud Traditional Art Market
    1 hour 20 minutes (21.5 miles) from Ngurah Rai International Airport

    In the morning, head to Ubud Traditional Art Market, one of Bali's most iconic markets. Here, you will find unique and affordable souvenirs, handmade crafts, clothing and accessories. In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary which is near to the market. It is an ideal location to watch monkeys in their natural habitat. In the evening, catch the traditional Kecak and Fire Dance performance in the nearby village.

  2. Day 2: Tegalalang Rice Terrace
    35 minutes (8.7 miles) from Ubud Traditional Art Market

    Start the day early and head to the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. The scenery is breathtaking. The rice terraces are well-maintained and seem to go on forever. After lunch, continue your journey to the Tirta Empul Temple, which is a beautiful temple with a holy spring. In the evening, catch the sunset at the Tanah Lot Temple. It is a great spot to witness the spectacular sunset.

  3. Day 3: Lovina Beach

    In the morning, start your journey to Lovina Beach, which is located in the northern part of Bali. Here, you can go dolphin watching and snorkeling. After lunch, visit the Buddhist Monastery, which is a peaceful and calming place. In the evening, relax on the beach and watch the sunset.

  4. Day 4: Goa Gajah Temple

    Start the day early and head to the Goa Gajah Temple. It is also known as the Elephant Cave and is a unique architectural site. After lunch, visit the Taman Ayun Temple, which is a beautiful temple surrounded by a moat. In the evening, head to the Seminyak area which is known for its vibrant nightlife.

  5. Day 5: Mount Batur
    2 hours 30 minutes (43.6 miles) from Seminyak

    Start the day early and embark on a trek to the top of Mount Batur. The sunrise view from the top of the mountain is spectacular. After the trek, visit the Tirta Gangga Water Palace which is a beautiful palace with a large pool and fountains. In the evening, head back to your hotel for a relaxing farewell dinner.
