7-Day Adventure Itinerary in Ladhak

  1. Day 1: Spituk Gompa

  3. Day 3: Pangong Lake

In the afternoon, visit the Alchi Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and see the incredible murals and carvings. Spend the night at a hotel in Leh.

  6. Day 6: Tso Moriri Lake
    7 hours (215 miles) from Leh

    In the morning, drive towards Tso Moriri Lake, a high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains and home to many rare bird species. In the afternoon, take a walk along the lake and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Spend the night at a campsite near the lake.

  7. Day 7: Shanti Stupa
    1 hour (4 miles) from Leh

    In the morning, hike up to the Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa with stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Leh Palace, a former royal palace and museum. In the evening, enjoy the local street food and do some souvenir shopping at the Leh Market.

Recommendations

Other local attractions to consider are the Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and the Magnetic Hill. For a side trip, visit the Turtuk Village to experience the Balti culture.
