4-Day Adventure Itinerary in Dehradun in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Robber's Cave
    24 minutes (8.2 miles) from Dehradun Railway Station

    Robber's Cave, also known as Gucchupani, is a natural cave formation where the river disappears underground and then reappears a few yards away. It is an ideal spot for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. In the morning, you can indulge in some rappelling and rock climbing here. After lunch, you can go for a trek in the nearby mountains which will allow you to take in the beautiful scenery and the fresh air. In the evening, you can relax by the waterfall or have a bonfire under the stars.

  2. Day 2: Sahastradhara
    32 minutes (11 miles) from Robber's Cave

    Sahastradhara, meaning "thousand-fold spring", is a beautiful waterfall located in the foothills of the Himalayas. In the morning, you can take a dip in the hot sulphur water springs here which are believed to have medicinal properties. After lunch, you can visit the nearby Shiva temple and soak in the spiritual ambiance of the place. In the evening, you can enjoy a picnic by the waterfall and watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Malsi Deer Park
    20 minutes (6.6 miles) from Sahastradhara

    Malsi Deer Park is a beautiful nature park that is home to a variety of deer, peacocks, rabbits, and other animals. In the morning, you can take a walk around the park and observe the animals in their natural habitat. After lunch, you can visit the nearby Tibetan Buddhist temple and learn about their culture and traditions. In the evening, you can go for a nature walk in the nearby forest and spot some exotic birds.

  4. Day 4: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 14 minutes (27.2 miles) from Malsi Deer Park

    Rajaji National Park is a wildlife reserve that is home to a variety of animals such as tigers, leopards, elephants, and many more. In the morning, you can take a jeep safari and spot some of these animals in their natural habitat. After lunch, you can visit the nearby Chilla Dam and enjoy some water sports such as rafting and kayaking. In the evening, you can visit the nearby Har Ki Dun Valley and admire the beautiful sunset.

You can also take a side trip to Mussoorie, which is a beautiful hill station located just 35 km away from Dehradun.
