Bushy Dam is an excellent place to start your nature-themed trip. In the morning, enjoy a serene walk around the dam and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The afternoon is perfect for a picnic by the water. In the evening, stay back to witness the magnificent sunset. Note: It is advised not to visit the dam during monsoons as the dam is closed for visitors.
Start your day early by visiting the Tiger's Leap point. Enjoy a panoramic view of the valley below and take a stroll on the nature trail. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Karla Caves to explore the ancient Buddhist rock-cut cave temples. In the evening, visit the Ryewood Park for a peaceful walk amongst the tall trees.
If you're interested in trekking and hiking, consider visiting the Korigad Fort or Lohagad Fort, which are both located near Lonavla. Another option is to explore the Pawna Lake and its surrounding hills. A visit to Lonavla is incomplete without trying the local chikki, a sweet snack made of jaggery and nuts. Lastly, make sure to keep an eye out for the Lonavla International Film Festival, which takes place in July every year.
