Nature Lover's 2-Day Itinerary in Vizag (May 2023)

  1. Day 1: Kailasagiri Hill Park
    20 minutes (5.8 miles) from Visakhapatnam Airport

    Start your day with a visit to Kailasagiri Hill Park, a stunning park located on a hilltop with a panoramic view of Vizag city. You can take a cable car ride to get to the top of the hill, and explore the vast expanse of greenery the park has to offer. You can also visit the Shiva Parvathi statue, which stands at 40 feet tall. For lunch, enjoy some authentic local cuisine at the park's restaurant. In the afternoon, take a stroll or relax at the Floral gardens and enjoy the sea view. In the evening, watch a beautiful sunset and end your day with a light show at the park.

  2. Day 2: Araku Valley
    3 hours (75.2 miles) from Kailasagiri Hill Park

    Leave early in the morning for a scenic drive to Araku Valley, a picturesque hill station surrounded by lush greenery, coffee plantations, and waterfalls. Start your day with a visit to the Borra Caves, one of the largest and deepest caves in India with fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations. Then, take a stroll at the coffee plantations and enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Have lunch at one of the local restaurants and try the bamboo chicken, a local delicacy. In the afternoon, visit the Padmapuram Gardens, a beautiful botanical garden with a variety of plants, trees, and flowers. Finally, end your day with a visit to the Katiki Waterfalls, a breathtaking waterfall surrounded by hills.

If you are interested in beaches, visit Rama Krishna Beach and Yarada Beach. You can also plan a side trip to the Simhachalam Temple, a famous temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha, located in the outskirts of Vizag.
