3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Haridwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri Ghat
    10 minutes (2.4km) from Haridwar Junction Railway Station

    In the morning, visit Har Ki Pauri Ghat, one of the most famous ghats in Haridwar and take a holy dip in the river Ganges. In the afternoon, explore the local markets around the ghat to buy souvenirs like Rudraksha beads, idols of deities, and Ayurvedic medicines. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti, a religious ritual that takes place every evening, where devotees offer prayers to the river Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Chandi Devi Temple and Mansa Devi Temple
    30 minutes (6.8km) from Har Ki Pauri Ghat

    Start the day by visiting the Chandi Devi Temple, located atop the Neel Parvat. The temple can be reached by taking a cable car or by trekking up the hill. Afternoon can be spent at the Mansa Devi Temple, another popular temple in Haridwar, which is also accessible by cable car or by trekking. In the evening, visit the Maya Devi Temple, one of the Siddhapeethas in India, and learn about the temple's history and significance.

  3. Day 3: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 10 minutes (35.9km) from Mansa Devi Temple

    Spend the day exploring the Rajaji National Park, a tiger reserve and an elephant sanctuary. The park is home to various species of flora and fauna, including the Asian Elephant, Bengal Tiger, Leopard, and Indian Porcupine. Enjoy a wildlife safari to explore the park's beauty and diversity. After the safari, visit the scenic Neer Gaddu Waterfall, located inside the park and relax in the cool water.

Do not miss visiting the Daksheswara Mahadev Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in Haridwar.
