    Raja's Seat is a beautiful garden that offers a stunning view of the surrounding hills. It is a popular spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. The garden also houses a musical fountain that operates in the evenings; however, do check its timings beforehand.

  2. 10:00AM: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (8.1 miles) from Raja's Seat

    Abbey Falls is a scenic waterfall nestled amidst lush greenery. A hanging bridge over the falls provides a breathtaking view. The misty surroundings make for a great photo-op. However, be cautious while walking on the rocks as they can be slippery.

  3. 12:00PM: Dubare Elephant Camp
    40 minutes (14.3 miles) from Abbey Falls

    Dubare Elephant Camp is a unique experience where you can get up close and personal with elephants. You can learn about their daily routines, feed them, and even take a coracle ride with them. However, do check the timings beforehand and book in advance as it can get crowded.

    East End Hotel serves authentic South Indian cuisine at reasonable prices. Their biryani and fish curry are highly recommended. The restaurant has a rustic ambience and friendly staff.

    Talakaveri is the source of the Cauvery river and considered a sacred spot. A temple dedicated to Lord Brahma is located here. The viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the Western Ghats. The drive to Talakaveri is scenic and passes through small villages.

  6. 5:00PM: Sunset at Mandalpatti
    1 hour 30 minutes (34.5 miles) from Talakaveri

    Mandalpatti is a hidden gem located in the Pushpagiri Forest Reserve. The viewpoint provides a stunning view of the valley below, especially during sunset. The drive to Mandalpatti is bumpy and requires a 4x4 vehicle. Do carry a jacket as it can get chilly in the evening.

    Coorg Cuisine is a family-run restaurant that serves Coorgi cuisine. Their pork dishes and pandi curry are highly recommended. The restaurant has a cosy ambience and friendly staff.

Recommendations

If you have time, you can visit the Madikeri Fort, a historical landmark that houses a museum and a temple. The Omkareshwara Temple, a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture, is also worth a visit. Additionally, you can plan a half-day trek to Tadiandamol, the highest peak in Coorg.
