2-Day Itinerary for Belur, Halebeedu, Chikmagalur, and Dada Pahad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Belur and Halebeedu
    2 hours (79 km) from Chikmagalur

    Morning: Visit the Chennakesava Temple in Belur, a masterpiece of Hoysala architecture. Admire the intricate carvings and sculptures that adorn the temple walls. Then, head to Halebeedu, where you will find the Hoysaleswara Temple, another magnificent example of Hoysala architecture. Take a guided tour to learn about the history and significance of the temple.
    Afternoon: Have lunch at a local restaurant and then visit the Archaeological Museum in Halebeedu. The museum houses a fascinating collection of sculptures, inscriptions, and artifacts from the Hoysala period. Next, visit the Kedareshwara Temple, a smaller but equally beautiful Hoysala temple.
