  1. Day 1: Reach Gangotri
    25 minutes (11.5 km) from Gangotri Airport

    Welcome to Gangotri! Your journey starts with a drive to the holy town of Gangotri, situated at an altitude of 3,048 meters. You can spend the morning exploring the town and visiting the famous Gangotri Temple. In the afternoon, you can visit the Bhagirathi Shila and Gauri Kund. In the evening, you can attend the Ganga Aarti at the banks of the river Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Bhojbasa
    14 km (5-6 hours) from Gangotri

    Today, you'll start your trek towards Bhojbasa, which lies at an altitude of 3,775 meters. After a few kilometers of trekking, you'll reach Chirbasa, a beautiful spot to take a break and admire the natural beauty. After a while, you'll reach Bhojbasa. In the evening, you can take a stroll around the campsite and enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayas.

  3. Day 3: Trek to Gaumukh and Tapovan
    8 km (6-7 hours) from Bhojbasa

    Today, you'll trek to Gaumukh, the source of the river Ganges. The trek can be challenging, but the views of the Bhagirathi peaks along the way will make it worth it. After reaching Gaumukh, you can spend some time exploring the area and then trek to Tapovan, which lies at an altitude of 4,463 meters. In the evening, you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

  4. Day 4: Trek back to Gangotri and Departure
    18 km (5-6 hours) from Tapovan

    Today, you'll trek back to Gangotri, enjoying the scenic views and taking breaks along the way. After reaching Gangotri, you can explore the town and do some last-minute shopping before departing for your journey back home.
