3-Day Itinerary from Shillong to Cherrapunjee, Seven Sisters Waterfall, Nokhalikhai Falls, Mawsmai Caves in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Cherrapunjee
    1 hour 15 minutes (33.6 km) from Shillong

    In the morning, visit the Nohkalikai Falls, which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. After that, head to Mawsmai Caves and explore the limestone formations. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive to Seven Sisters Waterfall, where you can take a dip in the natural pool. In the evening, take a walk around the Cherrapunjee town and enjoy local cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Nokhalikhai Falls

    Start your day with a visit to Nokhalikhai Falls, the fourth highest waterfall in the world. After that, drive to Living Root Bridge, a unique structure made from the roots of ancient trees. In the afternoon, visit the Dawki River and enjoy a boat ride on its crystal-clear water. In the evening, relax and enjoy the sunset at the Umngot River.

  3. Day 3: Shillong
    1 hour 30 minutes (54.1 km) from Nokhalikhai Falls

    Start your day with a visit to the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the culture and history of Northeast India. In the afternoon, visit the Ward's Lake, a popular picnic spot in Shillong. After that, explore the Shillong Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, shop for local handicrafts at Police Bazar.
