Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Elephanta Festival, a music and dance festival that takes place at the Elephanta Caves in February. You can also take a day trip to Lonavala, a hill station located 1.5 hours (60 km) from Mumbai, to enjoy the scenic beauty and waterfalls. Don't forget to try the street food in Mumbai such as vada pav, pav bhaji, and bhel puri. To maximize your fun, try to avoid visiting during the monsoon season (June - September) as there may be heavy rains and flooding. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry an umbrella or raincoat if you are visiting during the rainy season.
