3-Day Itinerary in Gudisa

  1. Day 1: Exploring the City Center

  2. Day 2: Gudisa Markets and Traditional Villages

    Start your day at the Merkato, one of the biggest open-air markets in Africa, where you can find everything from clothing to spices. Next, head to the Entoto Mountain, where you can visit the Entoto Maryam Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For lunch, stop by the Lucy Restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious Ethiopian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Adadi Mariam, an ancient rock-hewn church located in a small village. In the evening, visit the Yaya Village, a traditional Ethiopian village where you can learn about rural life in Ethiopia.

  3. Day 3: Nature and Adventure
    30 minutes (5 miles) from Gudisa Lodge

    Start your day early and head to the Wenchi Crater Lake, located on the top of an extinct volcano. Take a boat ride on the lake and hike to the top of the nearby mountains for a stunning view of the crater. For lunch, stop by the Bishangari Lodge, where you can enjoy a meal while overlooking the beautiful Lake Langano. In the afternoon, visit the Abiata-Shala National Park, where you can see various wildlife species and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Return to Gudisa in the evening.
