Four-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kaza and Chandrataal Lake

  1. Day 1: Visit Kibber Village

  2. Day 2: Trek to Chandrataal Lake
    6 hours (70 miles) from Kibber Village

    In the morning, drive to the scenic Chandrataal Lake, which is known for its clear blue waters and serene environment. Trek around the lake and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. In the afternoon, have a picnic lunch by the lake and then trek back to the base camp. Spend the evening around the bonfire and stargaze in the clear night sky.

  3. Day 3: Visit Langza Village

    Drive to Langza Village, a picturesque village known for its fossils and ancient Buddhist temples. In the morning, visit the ancient Lang (Temple) which is considered to be one of the oldest and most significant temples in the Spiti Valley. Take a break for lunch and then enjoy the scenic views of the valley from the Langza viewpoint. In the evening, spend time interacting with the locals and learning about their culture.

  4. Day 4: Trek to Dhankar Lake
    1 hour (14 miles) from Langza Village

    In the morning, drive to Dhankar Village and trek to the Dhankar Lake, located at an altitude of 4136 meters. The trek is challenging, but the views of the surrounding mountains and valleys make it worth it. Have a picnic lunch by the lake and then trek back to the village. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Dhankar Monastery, which is perched on a cliff overlooking the valley. In the evening, drive back to Kaza.

Recommendations
