2-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Old Goa
    25 minutes (10.5 km) from Dabolim Airport
    Morning: Start the day at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest churches in India. Marvel at the beautiful Baroque architecture and see the preserved remains of St. Francis Xavier.
    Afternoon: Visit the Sé Cathedral, another UNESCO World Heritage site and largest church in Asia. Take a guided tour to learn about the history and architecture of this majestic building.
    Evening: Stroll through the Fontainhas neighborhood, known for its colorful Portuguese-style houses. Stop at a local bakery for some traditional Goan snacks.
  2. Day 2: Relax on the Beaches
    40 minutes (20 km) from Old Goa
    Morning: Head to Baga Beach and rent a beach umbrella and chairs. Enjoy the warm sun and cool breeze while sipping on fresh coconut water.
    Afternoon: Visit Anjuna Beach and explore the flea market. Bargain for souvenirs and handicrafts, and sample some local street food.
    Evening: End the day at Calangute Beach, the largest beach in Goa. Watch the sunset while enjoying a refreshing drink at one of the beach shacks.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Reis Magos Fort for panoramic views of the Mandovi River. You can also take a day trip to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls or try some water sports like parasailing or jet skiing.
