Panchkedar Adventure Itinerary - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Rudranath Temple

    Start your adventure by visiting Rudranath Temple, one of the Panch Kedar shrines.   2. Day 2: Tungnath Temple
    2 hours (40 miles) from Guptkashi

    Make an early start to reach Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. The trek to the temple is moderate and takes about 2-3 hours. Enjoy the view of the Himalayas and the beautiful alpine meadows on the way. After visiting the temple, trek down to Chopta and enjoy a late lunch.     Visit Madmaheshwar Temple, the fourth Panch Kedar shrine, located in a beautiful valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The trek to the temple is challenging and takes around 7-8 hours, but the views are worth it. Enjoy a packed lunch on the way and spend some time exploring the temple before trekking back down. In the evening, say goodbye to the beautiful Panch Kedar region and return to Guptkashi for a good night's rest.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the nearby town of Gaurikund, where you can take a dip in the hot springs.
