Family-Friendly 4-Day Itinerary for Langkawi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Langkawi Cable Car and Skybridge
    19 minutes (10.3 km) from Langkawi International Airport

    In the morning, head to the Langkawi Cable Car and Skybridge for breathtaking views of the island. Take the cable car up to the top of Mat Cincang Mountain and walk on the 125-meter curved Skybridge. Have lunch at one of the food stalls at the Oriental Village. In the afternoon, visit the Seven Wells Waterfall located nearby. Swim in the cool waters of the seven-tiered waterfall and enjoy the natural beauty around you. In the evening, relax at Pantai Cenang beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Underwater World Langkawi and Wildlife Park
    16 minutes (9.7 km) from Pantai Cenang beach

    Start off the day by visiting Underwater World Langkawi, an aquarium that houses over 200 species of marine and freshwater fish, and other aquatic creatures. In the afternoon, visit Langkawi Wildlife Park, where you can see over 150 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. Don't miss the opportunity to interact with the animals, such as feeding the birds and holding the snakes. In the evening, head to the Langkawi Night Market for some local food, drinks and shopping.

  3. Day 3: Langkawi Mangrove Forest and Eagle Watching
    18 minutes (9.9 km) from Langkawi Wildlife Park

    Take a morning boat tour of Langkawi's mangrove forest and eagle watching. Visit the bat caves and watch the eagles swoop down to catch fish. After lunch, head to Tanjung Rhu Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Langkawi. Spend the afternoon swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. In the evening, have dinner at the Red Tomato Restaurant, which serves delicious Italian food with a local twist.

  4. Day 4: Langkawi Sky Trail and Langkawi Art in Paradise
    26 minutes (14.8 km) from Tanjung Rhu Beach

    In the morning, go on the Langkawi Sky Trail, a hiking trail that takes you through the rainforest and offers stunning views of the island. The trail is suitable for families and takes around 2-3 hours to complete. In the afternoon, visit Langkawi Art in Paradise, a 3D museum that features optical illusions and interactive paintings. Take fun photos with your family and enjoy the art. In the evening, have dinner at the Yellow Café, which serves delicious local and western food.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the Langkawi Craft Complex, where you can see traditional art and craftwork being made. You can also take a day trip to Pulau Payar Marine Park, where you can go snorkelling and see the marine life. For a unique experience, take a sunset dinner cruise and enjoy the beautiful views of the island. Don't forget to try the local food such as Nasi Lemak, Satay and Roti Canai.
