2-Day Lonavala Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Lonavala Lake
    15 minutes (4.2 km) from Lonavala Bus Stand

    Start your day with a serene morning at the Lonavala Lake. Enjoy the scenic view and take a stroll around the lake. You can rent a paddleboat and explore the lake's beauty. Afternoon, head to the Bhushi Dam, where you can enjoy the waterfall and the natural beauty of the area. You can take a dip in the cold water or have a picnic with your family. In the evening, you can visit the nearby Wax Museum, which has life-size wax statues of various Bollywood stars.

  2. Day 2: Rajmachi Fort
    1 hour 20 minutes (25 km) from Lonavala Lake

    Start your day early and drive towards the Rajmachi Fort. The fort is situated on a hill and offers a panoramic view of the Sahyadri Mountains. Trekking to the fort is a popular activity, and the trail is challenging but worth it. You can expect to spend a few hours trekking and exploring the fort. In the afternoon, head to the Karla Caves, which are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves. The caves are a great example of Indian rock-cut architecture and have intricate carvings and sculptures. In the evening, head back to Lonavala and end your day with a visit to the Lonavala Square Mall for some shopping and dining.
