One Week in Namibia: An Epic Adventure

  • Day 1: Windhoek
Arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH). Approximately 42 km (26 mi) from Windhoek.

Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival, we'll head to Windhoek, the bustling capital of the country. Windhoek has a unique blend of modern and traditional African culture, and you'll find plenty of sites to explore, including the colorful local markets and the Christ Church, which stands atop a hill overlooking the city.

  • Day 2: Sossusvlei
Approximately 350 km (217 mi) from Windhoek.

Sossusvlei is a unique and breathtaking place, located in the Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world. You'll witness some of the highest sand dunes in the world, some over 300m tall. You can climb up the sand dunes for an epic view and explore Deadvlei, a white clay pan surrounded by the towering dunes.

This coastal German town is a popular stop for tourists, and for good reason. The town is a seaside resort surrounded by sand dunes, perfect for exploring with a quad bike or sandboarding. There are also plenty of things to do in town, including visiting art galleries, shopping for handmade souvenirs and trying out some German-inspired cuisine.

Spitzkoppe is a group of massive granite peaks located in the middle of the Namib Desert. This is a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for a morning hike, where you can see ancient rock art and explore ancient caves. You can also try rock climbing and stargazing at night.
