Kedarnath Family Friendly 7-Day Itinerary in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes (1 km) from Kedarnath Helipad

    Visit the ancient Kedarnath Temple in the morning to avoid the crowd. Take a dip in the nearby holy pond and grab a bowl of vegetarian food at the temple canteen. In the afternoon, trek to Gandhi Sarovar and witness the panoramic view of the Himalayas. Spend the evening strolling around the temple.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
    2 hours (8.5 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    Early morning drive to Sonprayag and then start trekking to Vasuki Tal. This high altitude lake is surrounded by snowy peaks, making it a must-visit during October.   4. Day 4: Deoria Tal

  6. Day 6: Kalimath and Guptkashi
    4 hours (80 km) from Gaundar Village

    Visit the Kalimath Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kali. Trek down to Guptkashi and visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple. Spend the morning exploring the temples and enjoying the local culture. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Manikarnika Kund and take a dip in the holy water. Spend the evening exploring the local markets and trying out the street food.

  7. Day 7: Badrinath Temple
    3 hours (90 km) from Guptkashi
