Exploring Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Calangute Beach
    55 minutes (21.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Enjoy the morning by taking a dip in the Arabian Sea and taking a stroll along the white sandy beach. After lunch, visit the Aguada Fort which offers a beautiful view of the sea. Finally, head to the Anjuna Flea Market for some fun shopping and delicious street food.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls

    Start your day early and take a drive to Dudhsagar Falls which is situated on the Mandovi River and surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool water before heading to a spice plantation for a guided tour. The day ends with a delightful Goan dinner at a local restaurant.

  3. Day 3: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Goa State Museum
    39 minutes (10.6 miles) from Dudhsagar Falls

    Begin the day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. After lunch, explore the Goa State Museum which showcases the state’s history and culture. End the day by taking a leisurely stroll through Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji, to admire the colourful Portuguese-style homes.

  4. Day 4: Chapora Fort and Morjim Beach
    50 minutes (16.5 miles) from Basilica of Bom Jesus

    Start your day with a visit to Chapora Fort which offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding countryside. After breakfast, head to the Morjim Beach, also known as the Turtle Beach, where you can spot Olive Ridley turtles. End the day by visiting the vibrant Mapusa Market for some souvenir shopping.

  5. Day 5: Dudhsagar Plantation and Big Foot Museum
    1 hour 30 minutes (33.1 miles) from Morjim Beach

    Visit the Dudhsagar Plantation to learn about spice cultivation and sample some delicious local produce. After lunch, head to the Big Foot Museum, a tribute to Goan art, culture and lifestyle. End the day with a relaxing sunset cruise along the Mandovi River.

If you have more time, visit the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary or take a day trip to the beautiful Palolem Beach. For adventure seekers, try kayaking or paddleboarding in the calm waters of the Sal River. Make sure to try the local seafood and feni (a popular Goan liquor made from cashews).
