5-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Kashmir-Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Phalgham in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Srinagar
    20 minutes (8.6 km) from Srinagar International Airport

    In the morning, visit the beautiful Mughal Gardens that house a variety of flowers and fountains, with the Dal Lake in the background. In the afternoon, take a shikara ride on Dal Lake and explore the Floating Market where you can shop for local handicrafts. In the evening, visit Hazratbal Shrine, a beautiful mosque with stunning views of the Dal Lake.

  2. Day 2: Gulmarg

    Early morning, take the gondola ride to the top of Apharwat Peak in Gulmarg, and enjoy the breath-taking views of the valley. In the afternoon, visit the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest golf courses in the world, and then take a relaxing horse ride through the stunning meadows. In the evening, visit the Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve, home to a variety of flora and fauna.

  3. Day 3: Sonmarg
    3 hours 20 minutes (80.6 km) from Gulmarg

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Sonmarg, also known as the "Meadow of Gold." Explore the Thajiwas Glacier and take a pony ride through the stunning valleys. In the afternoon, visit the Zojila Pass, a high mountain pass that connects Ladakh to Kashmir. In the evening, enjoy a campfire and dinner at a local campsite.

  4. Day 4: Pahalgam

In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the old city of Srinagar and visit the local markets for some souvenir shopping.
