Four Days of Nature in Kasol, August 2023

  1. Day 1: Malana
    30 minutes (11.5 km) from Kasol

    Morning: Start your trip by visiting Malana, a serene village tucked away in the Parvati Valley. The village is isolated from the rest of the world and has a unique culture and lifestyle. Take a walk in the village and interact with the locals.
    Afternoon: After lunch, hike to the Chanderkhani Pass. The view from the pass is breathtaking, and you can see the lush green valley in all its glory.
    Evening: Head back to Kasol and relax by the Parvati River.

  2. Day 2: Kheerganga Trek
    30 minutes (12.7 km) from Kasol

    Morning: Start your day early and drive to Barshaini. From there, begin your 12 km trek to Kheerganga. The trail passes through forests, waterfalls, and hot springs.
    Afternoon: After lunch, relax by the hot springs at Kheerganga. The sulphur springs are believed to have medicinal properties and are a great way to unwind after the trek.
    Evening: Spend the night in Kheerganga and stargaze before falling asleep in your tent.

  3. Day 3: Tosh

    Morning: After breakfast, drive to Tosh, a picturesque village in the Parvati Valley. You can take a walk in the village and visit the temple of Jamdagni Rishi.
    Afternoon: After lunch, trek to the Tosh Glacier. The trek is challenging but offers stunning views of the snow-capped mountains.

  4. Day 4: Manikaran Sahib
    15 minutes (4.8 km) from Kasol

    Morning: Visit Manikaran Sahib, a gurudwara located on the banks of River Parvati. The hot springs in the temple complex are believed to have healing properties.
    Afternoon: After lunch, visit the Parvati Hydroelectric Project. The project is located on the Parvati River and is a great example of sustainable energy.
    Evening: End your trip with a visit to the Kasol Flea Market. The market sells local handicrafts, souvenirs, and delicious food.
