Four-Day Family Friendly Ladakh Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Leh

    In the morning, head to the Shanti Stupa for a panoramic view of Leh. Continue to Leh Palace, which was once the residence of the royal family.   2. Day 2: Visit the Monasteries

    Drive to the Nubra Valley, which is famous for its breathtaking landscapes and sand dunes. Visit Diskit monastery, where you can see a 32-meter statue of Maitreya Buddha. In the afternoon, ride a double-humped camel in the Hunder sand dunes and enjoy the stunning views of the valley. Spend the night in a traditional Ladakhi homestay.

  4. Day 4: Explore the High Altitude Lake
    3 hours 30 minutes (155 miles) from Leh

    Early in the morning, drive to Pangong Tso, a high altitude lake situated at 4,350 meters above sea level. The lake is famous for its changing colors and is a popular spot for photography. Spend the day soaking in the beautiful surroundings and enjoying a picnic lunch by the lake. Return to Leh in the evening.
