Tbilisi is a walkable city, and most of the sights are located in the city center. However, taxis and public transportation are also available. A taxi ride from Tbilisi International Airport to the city center costs around 25 GEL, and a metro ride within the city costs only 0.50 GEL. Keep in mind that traffic in Tbilisi can be heavy during rush hour.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to David Gareja Monastery, a rock-hewn Georgian Orthodox monastery complex that dates back to the 6th century. Or, visit the Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, and explore its numerous historic landmarks including the 6th-century Jvari Monastery and the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. If you have less time, you can combine the attractions from both days into one day, depending on your interests.
Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) is Georgia's main airport, located about 17km southeast of the city center. It's easily accessible by taxi or public transportation, and there are several flights available from major cities around the world.
