2-Day Nature Itinerary in Bangaly, July 2023

  1. Day 1: Hiking in Bandarban Hill District

    Morning: Start your day with an early morning drive to Bandarban Hill District. At the hill district, you can explore the Chimbuk Hill, which is the third-highest mountain peak in Bangladesh. The hill offers a breathtaking view of the entire region. You can also visit the Shoilo Propat waterfall, which is a natural wonder surrounded by lush green forests.

    Afternoon: After lunch at a local restaurant, trek through the Sangu River, known for its clear water and scenic beauty. You can also visit the Muranja Waterfall, which is an exotic waterfall located in the heart of the hills.

    Evening: Return to your hotel in Bandarban town, and enjoy a traditional Bangladeshi dinner.

  2. Day 2: Sundarbans National Park
    5 hours (119.5 miles) from Bandarban Hill District

    Morning: Start early and head to Khulna, the gateway to the Sundarbans National Park. The park is the largest mangrove forest in the world and home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, as well as other wildlife.

    Afternoon: Take a boat safari for a chance to spot the tigers, and also to see other wildlife like saltwater crocodiles, spotted deer, and different species of birds. You can also visit the Karamjal Wildlife Center and the crocodile breeding center.

    Evening: End your day with dinner on the boat, and enjoy the tranquility of the forest.

If you have more time, you can also consider visiting Cox's Bazar, the longest natural sea beach in the world. Another option is to visit Srimangal, known as the tea capital of Bangladesh, and explore the tea gardens and local culture.
