Kedarnhat Adventure Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Trekking to Kedarnath Temple
    Starting point: Sonprayag (10.7 km)

    In the morning, take a taxi from your hotel to Sonprayag. From there, start your trek to Kedarnath Temple. The trek is challenging and takes about 4-5 hours, but the stunning views of the Himalayas make it worthwhile. After reaching the temple, spend some time exploring its beauty and religious significance. In the evening, watch the Ganga Aarti ceremony on the banks of the Mandakini river.

  2. Day 2: White Water Rafting in Rishikesh
    From Kedarnath to Rishikesh (132 km)

    Start early in the morning to reach Rishikesh, a popular destination for adventure sports. Go for a white water rafting session on the Ganges river. The rapids range from Grade 1 to Grade 5, and are perfect for both beginners and experienced rafters. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful ashrams and temples in Rishikesh. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

  3. Day 3: Bungee Jumping and Flying Fox in Mohan Chatti

    In the morning, drive to Mohan Chatti, a small village known for its adventure activities. Start with a bungee jumping session from a height of 83 meters. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Flying Fox activity, which involves ziplining at a speed of 140 km/hr. After the adrenaline rush, relax and rejuvenate at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the village.

  4. Day 4: Camping and Trekking in Chopta
    From Mohan Chatti to Chopta (126 km)

    Drive to Chopta, a serene hill station surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Set up your campsite and start a trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. The trek is a moderate level and takes about 4-5 hours. Enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding forests. In the evening, relax around a bonfire and enjoy a BBQ dinner under the stars.

If you have time, consider visiting the Valley of Flowers National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can also try rock climbing and rappelling in Rishikesh.
