Start your day early and visit the gorgeous Abbey Falls. The morning air combined with the sound of the waterfall will make you feel at peace with nature. Take a stroll around the area and enjoy the greenery. In the afternoon, take a guided trek to the Mandalpatti Viewpoint (1 hour 30 minutes, 9km) and enjoy a panoramic view of the valley. In the evening, visit the Raja's Seat (30 minutes, 3.5km) for a breathtaking sunset view.
Day 2 is dedicated to the majestic elephants. Head to the Dubare Elephant Camp and participate in the various activities like feeding, bathing and taking an elephant ride. In the afternoon, visit the Nisargadhama (35 minutes, 19.1km) island and get a taste of nature at its best with a variety of activities like boating, elephant rides and deer park. The evening can be spent at the Madikeri Fort (30 minutes, 14.2km), a historic fort which offers a glimpse into the past.
On day 3, visit the Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary and take a jeep safari (2 hours, 16km) through the dense forest accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife and bird species. In the afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery (1 hour, 33km) which is a beautiful and peaceful place. The evening can be spent at the Harangi Dam (25 minutes, 12.2km), a serene location with a beautiful view of the dam.
You can also visit the Chelavara Falls, Iruppu Falls and the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. To make the most out of your trip, it is recommended to hire a car with a driver or take a guided tour. Make sure to carry comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent and a camera.
