4-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada
    30 minutes (10.3 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort with a lighthouse and stunning views of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Sinquerim Beach for a swim and some sunbathing. In the evening, try some Goan seafood at one of the beach shacks.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours 15 minutes (46.5 miles) from Fort Aguada

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Swim in the natural pool and enjoy the lush greenery around the falls. In the afternoon, head back towards Goa and stop at the spice plantations in Ponda for a tour. In the evening, head to Panaji, the capital city of Goa, and explore the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas.

  3. Day 3: Anjuna Flea Market
    30 minutes (9.7 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, head to the famous Anjuna Flea Market for some shopping and people-watching. In the afternoon, head to Vagator Beach, known for its rocky cliffs and stunning sunset views. In the evening, explore the nightlife at Tito's Lane in Baga.

  4. Day 4: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (12.3 miles) from Vagator Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous churches in India. In the afternoon, take a walk around the old Latin Quarter of Panaji and visit the Goa State Museum. In the evening, head to the beachside town of Colva for a seafood dinner.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a day trip to the beautiful beaches of South Goa, such as Palolem or Agonda. You could also visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary or take a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River. To maximize your fun, try some water sports at Calangute Beach or take a yoga class at one of the many yoga studios in Goa. Finally, make sure to try the local cashew feni and visit a cashew factory for a tour.
