Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary: Out of Gujarat in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mumbai
    4 hours 45 minutes (220 miles) from Gujarat

    Start your day at the iconic Gateway of India, a monumental structure built in 1924. Take a ferry to the beautiful Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring ancient rock-cut temples. Head back to the mainland and treat your family to some street food at the famous Chowpatty Beach. In the afternoon, visit the KidZania Mumbai indoor theme park, where children can role-play various professions in a fun and interactive environment. End the day with a visit to the Haji Ali Dargah, a beautiful mosque and tomb located in the middle of the sea.

  2. Day 2: Lonavala
    2 hours 30 minutes (64 miles) from Mumbai

    Enjoy a scenic drive to Lonavala and start your day at Bushi Dam, a popular spot for picnics and nature walks. Visit the Karla Caves, an ancient Buddhist rock-cut temple complex that dates back to the 2nd century BC. End your day at the Koregaon Park, a vibrant neighbourhood filled with trendy cafes, shops and restaurants.

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the Taraporewala Aquarium or the Nehru Science Centre in Mumbai.
