2-Day Delhi Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Old Delhi
    20 minutes (4.7 km) from Indira Gandhi International Airport

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. After taking in the beautiful architecture, head over to the nearby Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib to learn about the Sikh religion and enjoy a delicious langar meal.

    Afternoon: Take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi. Stop to taste some local street food and shop for souvenirs.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to the iconic Red Fort, built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Explore the beautiful buildings and gardens before enjoying the sound and light show in the evening.

  2. Day 2: New Delhi
    30 minutes (10.5 km) from Old Delhi

    Morning: Begin your day at the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers who died in World War I. Take a walk around the beautiful gardens and enjoy a cup of chai from one of the vendors.

    Afternoon: Visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Take a guided tour of the palace and gardens to learn about the history of India's government.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to the Lotus Temple, a Bahá'í House of Worship shaped like a lotus flower. Take in the peaceful surroundings and attend a prayer session before enjoying a vegetarian meal at the on-site restaurant.
