A City Experience Itinerary for Vizag and Araku in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Vizag Beaches
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Visakhapatnam Airport

    Morning: Start your day off with a refreshing walk along the Ramakrishna Beach. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and watch the waves crash against the shore. Afterwards, head to the INS Kursura Submarine Museum to learn about India's naval history. In the afternoon, visit the Kailasagiri Hill Park for panoramic views of the city and stop by the Shiva Parvathi Statue. In the evening, take a stroll down the popular Rushikonda Beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Araku Valley
    3 hours (116 km) from Visakhapatnam Beaches

    Morning: Take a scenic drive to the Araku Valley and stop at the Borra Caves on the way. Explore the stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations inside the caves. In the afternoon, visit the Araku Tribal Museum to learn about the indigenous tribes that live in the valley. Take a relaxed stroll through the beautiful Ananthagiri Coffee Plantations and learn about the coffee-making process. In the evening, enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea while admiring the scenic views of the valley.

  3. Day 3: Vizag City Tour
    3 hours (120 km) from Araku Valley

    Morning: Explore the beautiful Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary and embark on a nature trail. Spot some of the exotic wildlife including deer, leopards and Indian Gaur. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Simhachalam Temple and learn about the cultural significance of the temple. Take a stroll around the beautiful Kailash Giri Hill Park before heading to the famous Dolphin's Nose for a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, head to the Jagadamba Center for some shopping and local street food.

If you have extra time, be sure to visit the submarine INS Kurusura, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, and the Matsyadarshini Aquarium. For side trips, head to the nearby hill station of Lambasingi for a refreshing break or take a boat ride to the picturesque islands of St. Mary's and Ross Hill. To maximize your fun, try surfing at Rushikonda Beach or take a scenic helicopter ride over the Araku Valley.
