2-Day Chikmagalur Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Hirekolale Lake
    35 minutes (12 miles) from Chikmagalur city center

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the beautiful Hirekolale Lake, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Chikmagalur. Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake and the surrounding hills while taking a morning stroll.

    Afternoon: Head over to the nearby Baba Budangiri hills and trek to the Manikyadhara waterfalls. The trek is around a kilometer long, and the waterfalls offer a refreshing stop to cool off.

    Evening: Visit the nearby Kavikal Gandi Viewpoint to witness the breathtaking sunset, overlooking the beautiful valley.

  2. Day 2: Mullayanagiri and Bababudangiri
    1 hour 15 minutes (24 miles) from Chikmagalur city center

    Morning: Start early and head to the Mullayanagiri peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek to the top takes about 3-4 hours, and the view from the summit is worth the effort!
