The Mombasa Marine National Park is a protected area that features coral reefs, sea turtles, and a variety of marine life. Visitors can go snorkelling or scuba diving to explore the underwater world. Glass-bottom boat rides are also available for those who don't want to get in the water.
Old Town is a historic district of Mombasa that features Swahili architecture, narrow streets, and bustling markets. Visitors can take a guided walking tour of the area and visit the various shops and restaurants. The district is also home to the Mandhry Mosque and Hindu temples.
Haller Park is a nature reserve that was formerly a limestone quarry. The park features a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and hippos. Visitors can take a guided walking tour of the park or go on a game drive. The park also has a reptile house and a butterfly pavilion.
Public transportation in Mombasa includes buses, matatus (minibuses), and tuk-tuks. Travel by tuk-tuk is the most convenient for short distances and costs around KES 200-300. Taxis are also available but can be more expensive.
