  1. Day 1: Gateway of India

    Start your day with a visit to the iconic Gateway of India. Built in 1924, this monument was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Mumbai. Take a leisurely stroll around the area and enjoy the stunning views of the Arabian Sea. In the morning, you can also take a ferry ride to Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, located on an island off the coast of Mumbai. Afternoon calls for a visit to the famous Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, one of the busiest railway stations in India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, head to the Colaba Causeway, a bustling street market where you can shop for souvenirs, handicrafts, and street food.

  2. Day 2: Marine Drive
    30 minutes (8.7 km) from Gateway of India

    Start your day by visiting the Haji Ali Dargah, a beautiful mosque located in the middle of the Arabian Sea. This mosque is accessible only during low tide. In the afternoon, visit the Rajabai Clock Tower, a famous landmark of Mumbai University. Take a stroll around the campus and visit the nearby Bombay High Court. In the evening, head to Marine Drive, also known as the Queen's Necklace. This beautiful promenade offers a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea. Take a leisurely walk along the stretch and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Recommendations

If you have more time, do visit the Crawford Market for local shopping and the Nehru Science Centre for some educational fun.
