  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Temple

    The Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the most important Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and is believed to be the spiritual center of the city. In the morning, you can witness the Bhasma Aarti, a daily ritual where the lingam is anointed with ash. Afterward, you can explore the temple and learn about its history and significance. In the afternoon, you can visit the nearby Ram Ghat and participate in the evening aarti, a beautiful ceremony performed on the banks of the Shipra river to honor the goddess.

  2. Day 2: Kal Bhairav Temple
    15 minutes (3.2 miles) from Mahakaleshwar Temple

    The Kal Bhairav Temple is another important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva's fierce form. It is believed to be one of the oldest temples in Ujjain and has a unique architecture that sets it apart from other temples in the city. In the morning, you can visit the temple and witness the morning aarti. In the afternoon, you can explore the nearby markets and sample some of the local street food, including poha, jalebi, and chaat.
