2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Ranthambore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Ranthambore National Park
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Sawai Madhopur Junction Railway Station

    Morning: Start your day early and head to Ranthambore National Park for a thrilling jungle safari adventure. Spot the rich flora and fauna of the wildlife sanctuary which includes the Royal Bengal Tiger, various species of birds, and other animals such as leopards, jackals, hyenas, and more.

    Afternoon: After the safari, visit the Ranthambore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort is an important historical site and has a fusion of Mughal and Rajputana style architecture. From here, you can get a panoramic view of the national park.

    Evening: Head to the Trinetra Ganesh Temple, located inside the Ranthambore Fort complex. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is one of the oldest temples in Rajasthan. The temple is beautifully lit up in the evening and offers a peaceful atmosphere.

  2. Day 2: Kachida Valley and Padam Talao
    20 minutes (7 km) from Ranthambore National Park

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to Kachida Valley, an offbeat location for a wildlife safari. The valley is known for its beautiful landscape - rocky terrain, small hills, and a lake that provides a perfect habitat for the wildlife. You may spot the sloth bear or leopard in this area.

    Afternoon: After the safari, visit Padam Talao, the largest lake in the national park. The lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is a great spot for birdwatching. You can also visit the Jogi Mahal, a hunting lodge located near the lake which has been converted into a forest rest house.

    Evening: End your trip with a visit to the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History. The museum showcases the flora and fauna of Rajasthan and also has exhibits on the biodiversity of India. It is a great place to learn about the national park and wildlife conservation efforts.
