Embark on the Bisle Ghat Trek in the morning and witness the beauty of the Western Ghats. The trek starts from the Bisle View Point and takes around 4-5 hours to complete. Enjoy the lush green forests, waterfalls and scenic views during the trek. After the trek, indulge in some local cuisine for lunch and relax for a while. Later in the afternoon, visit the Manjarabad Fort, an ancient fort with a unique star shape structure. In the evening, head to the Hemavathi Backwaters and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Start day 2 with the Green Route Trek, a 14 km trek along the abandoned railway track surrounded by forests and hills. The trek takes around 6-7 hours to complete and offers breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. After the trek, head to the Manjehalli Waterfalls and take a dip in the cool waters. In the afternoon, visit the Sakleshpur Lake Park and spend some time boating and fishing. In the evening, visit the Sakleshwara Temple, a 12th-century temple with intricate carvings and sculptures.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Bisle Forest Reserve, a protected area with diverse flora and fauna. You can also take a side trip to the Kukke Subramanya Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Subramanya. To maximize fun, try camping in one of the many scenic spots around Sakleshpur.
