Two-Day Shimla Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: The Ridge
    10 minutes (2.4 km) from Shimla Railway Station

    In the morning, visit The Ridge, located in the heart of Shimla. Take a walk and enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayas. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Mall Road, which is full of shops and restaurants. In the evening, head to Scandal Point, a popular meeting spot for locals and tourists alike.

  2. Day 2: Jakhu Hill and Viceregal Lodge

    In the morning, visit Jakhu Hill, the highest peak in Shimla. The hill is famous for the Hanuman Temple and a statue of Lord Hanuman which is 108 feet tall. In the afternoon, head to Viceregal Lodge, which used to be the residence of the British Viceroy of India. The lodge has now been converted into the Indian Institute of Advanced Study and is open to visitors. In the evening, take a stroll at Annandale, an open ground used for cricket and other sports.
