Morning: Start your day early with a visit to the Kedarnath Temple, one of the four sacred shrines in Hinduism. The temple is nestled amid the snowy peaks of the Himalayas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. After darshan, enjoy a hot cup of tea at a nearby stall.
Afternoon: Take a trek to the Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake surrounded by the Chaukhamba mountains. The 6 km trek is challenging but rewarding as you will be able to enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas.
Evening: Relax and unwind at the Gandhi Sarovar lake, located near Kedarnath. The lake is fed by the Chorabari glacier and is a peaceful spot for meditation and introspection.
Morning: Visit the Badrinath Temple, another important shrine in Hinduism. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located on the banks of the Alaknanda river. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring, before entering the temple.
Afternoon: Drive up to Mana, the last Indian village before the Tibet border. Visit the Vyas Gufa, a cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata. Also, visit the Ganesh Gufa and the Bhim Pul.
Evening: Enjoy a beautiful sunset at the Bheem Bharti Point, located near the Badrinath temple. The point offers panoramic views of the Himalayas and the Alaknanda river.
Morning: Depending on your interest and energy level, you can either visit the Kedarnath temple again or do some shopping in the local markets.
Afternoon: Drive to the Auli Ski Resort, a popular skiing destination in India. Even if you are not interested in skiing, the resort offers stunning views of the Nanda Devi and other Himalayan peaks.
Evening: End your trip with a visit to the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, a town located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers. The temple is dedicated to Lord Narsingh, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Both Kedarnath and Badrinath are popular destinations for trekking. If you have more time and energy, you can consider doing the Kedarnath-Vasuki Tal trek or the Valley of Flowers trek.
Another interesting side trip from Kedarnath is to visit the Tungnath Temple, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world.
If you are interested in adventure sports, you can consider doing the bungee jumping or rafting in Rishikesh, which is on the way to Rudraprayag.
