Kedarnath and Tungnath 7-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Kedarnath
    2.2 km (15 minutes) from Kedarnath Helipad

    Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest for the morning. In the afternoon, visit the Kedarnath Temple and take a walk around the town. In the evening, attend the evening aarti ceremony at the temple.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath to Gaurikund to Tungnath
    35 km (1.5 hours) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your morning with a breakfast and a short drive to Gaurikund. From there, begin the trek to Tungnath, which is the highest Shiva Temple in the world. Enjoy the scenic trek and the beautiful views along the way. In the evening, attend the evening aarti ceremony at Tungnath Temple.

  3. Day 3: Tungnath to Chandrashila Peak
    5 km (2 hours) from Tungnath Temple

    Start early in the morning to trek to Chandrashila Peak, which is the highest point of the Tungnath range. Enjoy the panoramic views at the top of the peak. In the afternoon, trek back to Tungnath and rest.

  4. Day 4: Tungnath to Deoria Tal

    Start your morning with a drive to Sari Village and then a trek to Deoria Tal, a beautiful lake surrounded by forests. Enjoy the serene environment and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. In the afternoon, trek back to Sari Village and rest.

  5. Day 5: Kedarnath to Vasuki Tal

    Start your morning with a breakfast and a trek to Vasuki Tal, a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains. Enjoy the scenic views and take a dip in the cold waters of the lake. In the afternoon, trek back to Kedarnath and rest.

  6. Day 6: Kedarnath to Sonprayag
    21 km (1 hour) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your morning with a breakfast and a short drive to Sonprayag, a beautiful town located at the confluence of the Mandakini and Basuki rivers.
