3-Day Itinerary for Dushanbe in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Tajikistan National Museum
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Dushanbe International Airport

    In the morning, explore the Tajikistan National Museum which houses a vast array of ancient artefacts showcasing the country's rich history and heritage. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at Rudaki Park, one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the city. In the evening, head to the popular teahouse, Rohat Chaikhona, to enjoy some traditional Tajik food and drinks.

  2. Day 2: Ismaili Centre
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Rohat Chaikhona

    In the morning, visit the Ismaili Centre, a magnificent building that showcases traditional Islamic architectural designs. Take a guided tour of the centre and learn about its unique cultural significance. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden, which houses a variety of beautiful plants and flowers. In the evening, indulge in some delicious local food at Begemot Restaurant.

  3. Day 3: Hissar Fortress
    45 minutes (20 km) from Begemot Restaurant

    In the morning, head to the Hissar Fortress, a stunning historical landmark that dates back to the 18th century. Learn about the fascinating history of the fortress and explore the ancient citadel. Recommendations

If you have more time, be sure to visit the Nurek Dam, one of the tallest dams in the world, or the Hulbuk Fortress, which dates back to the 9th century.
