2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Indore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Rajwada Palace

    In the morning, visit the Rajwada Palace, a historical palace that boasts of a blend of Maratha, Mughal, and French styles of architecture. The palace has been restored to its former glory and is a great place to start your trip in Indore. Afternoon can be dedicated to shopping and food at Sarafa Bazaar. In the evening, visit the Kanch Mandir, a Jain temple made entirely of glass. The temple is beautifully lit up in the evening and is a sight to behold.

  2. Day 2: Lal Bagh Palace
    25 minutes (5.4 km) from Rajwada Palace

    In the morning, visit the Lal Bagh Palace, a magnificent palace that was built during the Holkar dynasty. The palace has been beautifully restored and houses a museum that contains artefacts and paintings from the Holkar dynasty. In the afternoon, head to the Patalpani Waterfall, which is located in the outskirts of Indore and is a great place for a picnic. In the evening, visit the Annapurna Temple, a beautiful temple that is dedicated to the goddess of food.

Indore is known for its food, so be sure to try out the local delicacies such as poha, jalebi, and chaat. If you have time, consider taking a day trip to Maheshwar, a town located on the banks of the Narmada River that is known for its handloom sarees.
