Two-day Itinerary for Haridwar in December 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri Ghat
4 minutes (0.5 km) from Haridwar Railway Station

Har Ki Pauri Ghat is one of the most popular attractions in Haridwar and an important religious site for Hindus. The morning is the perfect time to visit the ghat and take a holy dip in the Ganges River. Afternoon can be spent exploring local shops and markets around the ghat area. In the evening, witness the grand Ganga Aarti ceremony, where priests offer prayers to the river.

  2. Day 2: Mansa Devi Temple
14 minutes (5.3 km) from Har Ki Pauri Ghat

Mansa Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi and can be reached by a cable car ride from the base of the hill. The morning can be spent at the temple, followed by a visit to the nearby Chandi Devi Temple. In the afternoon, visit the Rajaji National park for a wildlife safari. The evening can be spent at one of the many local restaurants or cafes.

Recommendations

Other local attractions to consider are the Chandi Devi Temple, Daksheswara Mahadev Temple, and Maya Devi Temple.
