5-Day Shimla and Vrindavan Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Explore Shimla
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Shimla Railway Station

    Start your day with a stroll along the Mall Road, the heart of Shimla. Visit the Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, which offers panoramic views of the city. Visit the Himalayan Nature Park, home to a variety of flora and fauna native to the Himalayas. Take a horse ride to the Mahasu peak and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan range. In the evening, return to Shimla and explore the local markets.

  3. Day 3: Vrindavan Exploration

    Today, head to Vrindavan, a holy town known for its association with Lord Krishna. Start your day with a visit to the Banke Bihari Temple, one of the most famous temples in Vrindavan. Visit the Radha Raman Temple, which houses a deity of Lord Krishna that was discovered by Gopal Bhatta Goswami.   4. Day 4: Mathura Sightseeing

    In the morning, visit the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple Complex, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and explore the various temples within the complex. Visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. In the evening, attend the Yamuna Aarti, a spectacular ceremony that takes place on the banks of the river Yamuna.

  5. Day 5: More of Vrindavan and Departure
    10 minutes (3 miles) from Mathura Junction Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the Prem Mandir, a stunning temple complex that depicts the various stages of Lord Krishna's life through intricate carvings and murals. Visit the ISKCON goshala, which houses cows and other farm animals. Before leaving, shop for souvenirs at the local markets. Depart for the railway station or airport for your onward journey.

While in Shimla, consider taking a day trip to Chail, a beautiful hill station known for its polo ground and the Chail Palace. In Vrindavan, don't miss the Govind Dev Temple, which is one of the most important temples for the followers of Lord Krishna.
